Technical Difficulty is understood to mean the specific preparation in relation to the discipline.
Consideration is taken of familiarity with the equipment and the safety procedures, as well as personal ability, regardless of the level of physical fitness, which is assessed separately.

Technical Difficulty
The charts shown below are intended for use in self-assessment of personal ability, in order to choose activities appropriate to own expectations and aspirations, neither too easy nor too difficult.
We are always available to offer support in the event of any doubts or for help in choosing the right activity. See our contact details.
FITNESS
While the technical evaluation varies from one speciality to another, the level of fitness is the same for all the different activities.
It essentially concerns our athletic preparation, i.e. the intensity of performance that we are able to sustain, and the ability to recover quickly.
Your fitness level is medium-low, you are not used to sustained aerobic activities and the most you can do is a 2/3-hour walk. This fitness level only allows you to take part in certain courses (rock climbing, ARTVA, snow and avalanches), with little aerobic activity.
You have a medium level of fitness and you can walk for 4/5 hours on undulating terrain at a constant pace. You can tackle 500/800 m differences in altitude both uphill and downhill. You are also able to carry a backpack with everything you need for the day (approx. 7 kg).
You have a good level of fitness and you can walk for 5/7 hours on undulating terrain at a constant pace. You can tackle 800/1,200 m differences in altitude both uphill and downhill. You are also able to carry a backpack with everything you need for the day (approx. 7/ 10 kg). You are able to repeat this physical performance for two consecutive days.
You have an excellent level of fitness and you can walk all day on undulating terrain at a constant pace. You can tackle differences in altitude of over 1,200 m both uphill and downhill. You are also able to carry a backpack with everything you need for more than one day (over 10 kg). You are able to maintain a sustained pace for several consecutive days with excellent physical recovery.
You are an athlete, not only do you quickly move on any terrain, but you are able to recover very quickly after exertion.
