Technical difficulty

You need to assess your ability both in ascent and descent, considering your previous experience, even in mountaineering and/or hiking.

Level 1

You are able to ski all the red pistes and you are able to turn using the stem christie technique.
You have no experience of off-piste skiing and ascent using skins;

Level 2

You are able to ski all the red pistes and you are able to turn using the christie technique.
You are able to ski off-piste on short slopes and with steepness up to 30°, with good or average snow conditions.
You are able to climb with skins along marked trails of steepness up to 30° and with few u-turns;

Level 3

You are able to ski all the black pistes and you are able to turn using the carving technique.
You are able to ski off-piste on medium-length slopes and with steepness up to 35°, with good or average snow conditions.
You are able to climb with skins along marked trails of steepness up to 35° even with u-turns.
You know how to use ski crampons;

Level 4

You are able to ski all the pistes and bumps, and you have a good carving technique.
You are able to ski off-piste on long slopes and with steepness up to 40°, with good or average snow conditions.
You are able to climb with skins along unmarked trails of steepness up to 35° even with u-turns.
You know how to use ski crampons; you know how to use boot crampons and ice axe carrying your skis on your backpack;

Level 5

You are able to ski all the pistes and bumps, and you have an excellent carving technique.
You are able to ski off-piste on even very steep slopes, with steepness over 40°, with any snow conditions.
You are able to climb with skins along unmarked trails, performing many u-turns.
You know how to use ski crampons; you know how to use boot crampons and ice axe carrying your skis on your backpack.
